The RBGSL Spring 2020 Softball season registration opens on November 1st!

RBGSL strives to offer the best overall instruction of any officially USA Softball sanctioned recreation league in North San Diego County with the most affordable fees. With strong family orientation and focused on encouraging PLAY - Positive Coaching | Love of the Game | All Players Valued | Youth Having FUN! - we seek to encourage each girl to grow her softball skills while creating an atmosphere of friendly competition.

Spring 2020 Softball Fees:

T-Ball (6U) - $100
Rookies (8U) - $190
Division 1 (10U) - $190
Division 2 (12U) - $190
Snack Bar Fee - $50 per player*

*Please note, we are a non-profit organization and one of the primary means of keeping costs down is the fundraising that occurs through the RBGSL Snack Bar. We need volunteers to offer their time to work in the snack bar during the Spring season. There is a snack bar fee of $50 that is charged at player registration (per player) and is fully refundable when a parent/guardian of that player volunteers for their 2 hour shift during their selected snack bar shift. The snack bar coordinator will record that shift and the fee will be returned to the parent/guardian by the League. If you choose not to complete a snack bar shift, the fee will be retained by the League. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the RBGSL Snack Bar Coordinator at [email protected].

IMPORTANT DATES and DISCOUNTS:

An Early Bird registration discount of $15 for all registrations submitted prior to November 15, 2019 will be automatically applied at checkout.

Once a Division is filled based upon the anticipated number of teams any registration submitted beyond that point to the registration close on January 11, 2020 will be placed on a waiting list and will only be released if the Board can reasonably activate another team.

Registrations after January 11, 2020 must be approved the Board.

 

A Sibling Discount of $10 for each player after the 1st player registration will be automatically applied at checkout. This applies only to siblings.

Registration Fees cover the direct costs of: player jersey, socks and end of season trophy or t-shirt (depending on division). Registration fees also help defray league expenses such as game equipment (catchers gear, helmets, bats, game and practice balls), USA Softball registration, insurance, umpire fees field reservation fees, field lighting and ongoing field maintenance expenses.

Participant Required Equipment - softball glove, black sliding pants, cleats (soccer cleats are acceptable but softball cleats work best on the packed clay infield). Please see the Equipment page for additional information on what other equipment may be useful and specifications.

There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer and we know that each family will contribute to the extent their time and resources are available.

REGISTRATION PROCESS:

You may register your daughter for the Spring 2020 Recreational Softball season now. In order to better serve our participating families, all registrations must be submitted online. By following a few simple steps, you can create an account and register your daughter for the season.

 Step 1 - Select 'Register' (or 'My Account' if you are already logged in) and login if you are returning and already have an account or create a new account.

Step 2 - once you are in the system, you will see your account options as follows:


                       
Step 3 - Select 'Register Now' for the program(s) available for each of your participants. Available programs for each Participant will be based upon the Date of Birth you designated in the setup process. Each Division is date bound and your daughter may only participate in her age group.

Step 4 - sign and return the League Participation Agreement and Parent Pledge forms that you will receive via email following submission (all new players must also submit their birth certificate for ASA registration and age confirmation).

Step 5 - Show up for Assessments on January 11, 2020 (does not apply to T-Ball) and have fun!
